It's located in northwestern Uganda, more than 300 kilometres from Kampala. It's also known as Kabalega Falls. It is on the shores of Lake Albert on the White Nile. It's best known for its powerful waterfalls worldwide and with stunning blend of energy. And from where did the name Murchison come? Or from did it acquire that name?
Samuel Baker and Florence Baker were the first non-Africans to see it, so they named it Murchison after the British geologist Sir Roderick Murchison. If you're on a trip to Uganda, make sure that you visit Murchison Falls.
