Situated more than 5,000 feet above sea level and surrounded by the Sierra Madre del Sur mountain range, Oaxaca is the place to experience unique customs, visit vibrant markets, and dine on delicious Mexican food. Standout cultural sites include the Templo de Santo Domingo church, which dates back to the 16th century and was used for a time as military barracks, and the preserved ruins of Monte Albán.

La Paz.

SOPHIA OF KYIV.

Kyiv is also the birthplace of one of Ukraine's oldest and most significant spiritual landmarks, with a rich history and exceptional monumental art. St. Sophia Cathedral got its name from Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Constantinople and was at the heart of the religious and political life in the medieval state of Kyivan Rus–Ukraine, helping Christianity spread in Eastern Europe.

This Orthodox cathedral is known as one of the best examples of Byzantine architecture, with its dome roofs, arches, and gold decorations. Inside St. Sophia Cathedral, visitors can see 11th-century-old mosaics and frescoes depicting scenes from the Bible and historical events.

CHORNOBYL.

Some places in Ukraine are as unique as they are soul-stirring. The site of one of the most devastating nuclear disasters in history, the town of Chornobyl (often misspelled as "Chernobyl"), offers a glimpse into a post-apocalyptic world just 110 kilometers from the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

An area surrounding the 1986 tragedy site is now the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, a mostly deserted home to frozen-in-time towns and ghost cities, such as Prypiat. Overgrown buildings, empty streets, and sights of the Ferris wheel and abandoned children's toys are surreal to see today.

The exclusion zone, where nature took over and flourished amid former cities, will appeal to photographers and fans of dark tourism. The visit to Chornobyl will definitely provide you with food for thought about the impact of humans on nature.

OLESHKY SANDS.

When you think about Ukraine, the image of vast dunes will likely be the last thing on your mind. Despite being known for its fertile lands and the waters and reedbeds of the Dnipro River, the Ukrainian south is an unexpected abode of Europe's largest desert, hidden amid typical agricultural landscapes.

Oleshky— the Ukrainian Dune, located near the namesake town 30 km east of Kherson, easily is one of the most beautiful places in Ukraine. It has a diverse ecosystem of rare plant and animal species adapted to arid desert conditions. Boundless dunes up to 12 m high stretching as far as the eye can see have always wowed travelers, photographers, and locals alike. Specially planted dense pine, acacia, and poplar forests grow around the Oleshky Sands National Natural Park, preventing the spread of sand masses throughout the Black Sea region.

Part of the Kherson region, including Oleshky Sands, has been under Russian occupation since the start of the full-scale war, so the nature and wildlife of the desert have been under threat. Ukrainian soldiers continue fighting for the freedom of the local people on the left bank of the Kherson region, while locals stand firm, knowing that no aggressor can erase their heritage or the enduring Ukrainian culture

    

RWANDA'S TOURIST ATTRACTIONS.

Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, where the African Great Lakes region and Southeast Africa converge. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Rwanda is a land of great diversity and beauty. Popularly known as ‘the land of a thousand hills,’ it has six volcanoes, twenty-three lakes, and numerous rivers, some of which form the source of the great River Nile.

The landscapes in this green country are truly breathtaking. Many visitors to Rwanda have remarked that the physical beauty of the country is without equal on the African continent. Spectacular volcanoes and dense tropical forests dominate the country's north. In contrast, gentle hills and valleys, calm lakes, and turbulent rivers in both savannah and dense tropical vegetation dominate the rest of the country. Rwanda boasts a wide variety of wildlife. 

The Parc National des Volcans, in northern Rwanda, is home to the world’s largest number of endangered mountain gorillas. Numbering in the hundreds, the gorillas live in a protected area, free from poachers. The gorillas can be viewed in their natural mountain habitats at a fairly close range. When visiting the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’, one should not miss out on the magnificent opportunity to visit Rwanda’s Parc National des Volcans (PNV) consisting of 125 Km2 of mountain forest and home to the six Virunga Volcanoes and the world-famous mountain gorillas.

Best known for its wealth of primates, Rwanda also has one of Africa’s richest bird life. A staggering 670 different bird species have been recorded in Rwanda. For botanists, the gorgeous wildflowers of the forests and mountains are capped by more than 100 orchid species in Nyungwe alone.
Gishwati Mukura National Park.

Rwanda’s fourth national park, Gishwati Mukura is made up of two separate forests – the larger Gishwati and small Mukura, forming a total of 34 square kilometers plus a buffer zone.

The forests sit on the ridge which divides the Congo and Nile water catchment areas, along the incredibly biodiverse Albertine Rift in the west of the country. It is made up of 60 species of tree, including indigenous hardwoods and bamboo.

Gishwati is home to a group of 20 chimpanzees that live alongside golden monkeys, L’Hoest’s, and Blue Monkeys. Birds are well represented too, 232 species have been seen at Gishwati and 163 at Mukura, among them Albertine Rift Endemic species and forest specialists.

Activities in the park started in 2019 and include a guided nature hike, guided chimp and monkey tracking, bird watching, and a visit to the waterfalls.

The area was nearly depleted largely due to resettlement, illegal mining in the mineral-rich forest, and livestock farming.

The formalization of its National Park status in 2015 aims to help redress the balance, increase the number of trees to improve soil fertility, stabilize slopes, and regulate stream flow.

It will also contribute to improving the livelihoods of the population living in the surrounding areas, which in turn offers the forest a better chance of regeneration in tandem with the potential to raise living standards in the longer term.

Community-based activities include a farm stay, a live cultural dance, making handicrafts, beekeeping, a tea plantation,r and the chance to learn from traditional healers, who use natural plants to support modern medicine and synthesized drugs.
Nyungwe National Park.

One of the oldest rainforests in Africa, Nyungwe is rich in biodiversity and spectacularly beautiful. The mountainous region is teaming with wildlife, including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate, including the L’Hoest’s monkey endemic to the Albertine Rift.
Akagera National Park.

The relatively warm and low-lying plains of Akagera comprise savannah, woodland, wetland, and a dozen lakes. In partnership with African Parks, we aim to transform the National Park into a world-class location to experience a safari.

The largely open expanse is ideal for game viewing, and we are taking steps to ensure the Big Five roam the park in greater numbers over time.

Since 2010 we have cut poaching to an all-time low, with the introduction of a helicopter, a canine unit, and rhino trackers.

A family of lions from South Africa is settling in well, and breeding successfully, and 18 eastern black rhinos have also been reintroduced.

Visitors can also encounter buffalo, elephant, antelope, zebra, giraffe, baboons, monkeys, an incredible 490 bird species, plus much more.

A boat trip on Lake Ihema is also a highlight of any visit to Akagera, with its large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and abundant waterbirds on the island in the middle of the lake.

The only way to explore the park is by vehicle, whether through a tour operator or self-drive. The National Park also has a vehicle to hire, with individual spaces available on night drives.

It is recommended to take up the services of a guide, which can be booked through the park.

Sleeping within the park is possible, at various lodges, a bush camp in the north at select periods, or camping in specific sites.
Volcanoes National Park.

Situated in the far northwest of Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range – home of the endangered mountain gorilla and a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp, and heath.

Volcanoes National Park is named after the chain of dormant volcanoes making up the Virunga Massif: Karisimbi – the highest at 4,507m, Bisoke with its verdant crater lake, Sabinyo, Gahinga, and Muhabura.

Tracking endangered mountain gorillas through the mysterious intimacy of the rain forest, alive with the calls of 200 species of colorful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkeys, is only one of the truly unique experiences in the area.

 

 

KENYA'S TOURIST ATTRACTIONS...

Kenya is a country in East Africa with a coastline on the Indian Ocean. It encompasses the savannah, Lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley, and mountain highlands.

• Wildlife drives, canoeing (when water levels are high enough), mountain bike tours and bird watching are the most popular activities in Lake Manyara National Park. Mafia Island draws divers and snorkelers from around the world to the undersea world protected by the Mafia Island Marine Park.

 

• The best months for diving are October to March but the best weather on Mafia Island is May to October. March and April are months of heavy rain.

 

• Mafia Island Marine Park has coral gardens, an abundant variety of fish, and a relaxed diving atmosphere.

 

• Countless birds and over 400 species of fish can be seen in the area. Mafia Island is also a traditional breeding site for the green turtle, which is unfortunately endangered.

 

• Mafia is also a desirable location for deep-sea fishing, especially tuna, marlin, sailfish and other big-game fish.

 

• This island paradise first saw settlers in the 8th or 9th C, but the Mafia became a more important settlement during the 12th to 14th C when it held a key position in the East African trading routes. 

 

• Tarangire National Park, established in 1970, is a fantastic area for wildlife viewing. It is best visited in the dry season from July to September when the animals gather along the river.

 

• During the dry season, Tarangire National Park has one of the highest concentrations of migratory wildlife. Wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the lagoons.

 

• The park is also known for its large population of elephants, and the baobab trees that dot the grassy landscape.

 

• The park is excellent for birdwatching, with more than 300 species recorded in Tarangire. These species include buzzards, vultures, herons, storks, kites, falcons and eagles.  

 

• Selous is the largest game reserve in Africa. Established in 1922, it covers 5% of Tanzania's total area.

 

• The southern area is a forbidden zone that is undeveloped, heavily forested and contains a series of steep cliffs.

 

• Travellers are limited to the area north of the Rufiji River. This area of the Selous Game Reserve has large open grassland, woodlands, rivers, hills and plains.

 

• The best time to visit is July through October.
• The Rufiji River bisects the Selous Game Reserve and has the largest catchment area of any river in East Africa.

 

• The river is an important feature of the reserve providing the opportunity to watch the diverse water National Park, although smaller than most in Tanzania, has a range of habitats that consist of the forest of Mount Meru, Ngurdoto Crater in the southeast section of the park, and Momella Lakes, a series of seven crater lakes.

 

• Black and white Colobus monkeys are easily spotted in the forested area while the marshy floor of the crater is dotted with herds of buffalo, zebra and warthog. 

 

• Momella Lakes is home to a large selection of resident and migrant waterbirds. People come here to see wildlife and also to climb Mount Meru.

 

• Mount Meru is one of the most beautiful volcanoes in Africa and the second-highest mountain in Tanzania.

 

• The summit is reached by a narrow ridge, which provides stunning views of the volcanic cone lying several thousand feet below in the crater.

 

• The ascent is steep but the route passes through parkland, forest, a giant heather zone and moorland-based wildlife.

 

• A broad range of wildlife can be found including elephants, hippos and rhinos as well as buffalo, antelope, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, lion, leopard and cheetah.

 

• The diversity of bird life in Selous includes over 350 recorded species. In 2008 Ruaha National Park became Tanzania's largest park.

 

• It is home to large herds of buffalo and gazelle and has one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Tanzania.

 

• The Great Ruaha River is the main feature of Ruaha National Park, providing magnificent wildlife viewing on the banks.

 

• The river also provides much of the electricity in Tanzania through a hydroelectric dam at Kidatu.

 

• Ruaha National Park is the least accessible park in Tanzania and as a result, the landscape remains relatively untouched.

 

• Birdwatchers can enjoy over 400 species of birds that are not found in northern Tanzania, and the river, spectacular gorges, and majestic trees are especially appealing to photographers. 

 

• Gombe National Park, also sometimes called Gombe Stream National Park, is primarily for those who want to get a little off the beaten track and see chimpanzees. This is one of the smallest national parks in Tanzania and is famous for the work of Jane Goodall.

 

• This British researcher arrived in 1960 to study wild chimpanzees and her work turned into what would become the longest-running behavioral research program of its kind in the world.

 

• Guided walks take visitors into the forest to observe chimps in the wild. Many species of primates and mammals live in the park. Over 200 bird species have been recorded in the tropical forest, including barbets, starlings, sunbirds, crowned eagles, kingfishers and the palm-nut vulture.

 

• Hiking and swimming are other popular activities; a trail leads into the forest to a waterfall in the valley. 

 

• Katavi National Park is located in a remote region offering unspoiled wilderness. A predominant feature in Katavi is the enormous flood plain, split by the Katuma River and several seasonal lakes.

 

• The lakes support enormous groups of hippos, crocodiles and over 400 species of birds.

 

• One of the spectacles in Katavi is the hippos at the end of the dry season when as many as 200 try to squeeze into a pool of water. The male rivalry heats up causing territorial fights.

 

• The dry season brings Katavi National Park to life, herds of impala, reedbuck, lions, zebras and giraffes can be seen at the remaining pools and streams.

 

• Thousands of elephants and buffaloes also converge on the park when the floodwaters Lake Victoria is the largest freshwater lake in Africa and is bordered by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

 

• This lake is the source of the White Nile and provides an income for millions of residents along its shores.

 

• The Tanzanian section of Lake Victoria is one of the least visited regions in
• the country, however, the towns of Bukoba,
• Musoma and Mwanza have many attractions.

 

• Near Mwanza and Musoma are many islands, some have become wildlife sanctuaries. Bird watching and fishing trips are popular excursions, and boat trips or hikes can be arranged around Lake Victoria.

 

• Rubondo Island National Park, which includes several other smaller islands, is on the southwest shores of Lake Victoria.

 The Tuk Tuk, the Thai people love traveling by tuk tuk and it's the most popular means of transport in the country it has also played a big role in the transportation of tourists to different places within the country.

 Floating markets, A cannot-miss experience, shopping from floating markets is a sight to behold! A glimpse into the way how locals live, these markets sell everything from vegetables to groceries and even prepared local dishes!

 These makeshift markets are set up in the small waterways that Thailand is dotted with every evening and morning. From fresh produce to flowers, these floating markets have it all.

 The Tiger Temple, Thailand’s most popular tourist attraction, Tiger Temple is a different world in itself.

 Tigers that roam openly on the premises, being raised by monks are a sight you can see only here.

 Temple premises dotted with spires and beautifully decorated temple walls, this place is where you will awaken your spiritual side. 

 The Bangkok National Museum, With a UNSECO-approved piece of art, culture lovers should head here.        

 A treasure house of culture and history, this museum is bound to make anyone fall in love with it.

 Bangkok sea life, This place is one of the largest aquariums in Asia and provides a fresh respite from Bangkok’s hot outdoors.

 Prices may be steep but this is the closest most will get to witnessing sea creatures at large! One of Bangkok’s most visited attractions, this is one place you must visit while in Bangkok.

 The Street food stalls, Bangkok and Thailand, the best way to experience both is through its cuisine.

 The best way to do that is to try the street food. Bangkok is filled with streets that are lined up with vendor selling their fares. Grilled fish, shrimp, and soups are bound to bring out your newfound love for the city and you’ll leave with a special place for Thai food in your heart!

 Those are the main features that attract tourists to visit Thailand. That's why I call Thailand ( The Asian dream) for tourists.

UGANDA / THE PEARL OF AFRICA....

• Uganda is located in the eastern part of Africa, the country is bordered by Congo in the west, southern Sudan in the north, Kenya in the east, and Rwanda and Tanzania to the south.                                                                                          
• The country lies on the equator, and the line divides the country into two parts; the southern and the northern parts. Recently the country's population has grown and it's considered to be around 46 million people.                              
• Due to recent research, it was discovered that Uganda has the youngest population in the world. With the majority population ranging from 35 and below years of age.                      
• Uganda has a variety of tourist attractions such as; game parks, zoo parks, rivers, lakes, mountains, and many more.         
•  The country is improving its infrastructure for example roads and bridges have been constructed countrywide.                 
•  Hotels, motels, resorts, guest houses, and lodges have also been improved with suitable and attractive accommodations for tourists in different cities.                                                         
• These are the main cities in Uganda, Kampala is the capital, Mbale is the cleanest city in the eastern part of the country, Jinja is the industrial city, Gulu, Arua, and Soroti as the northern main cities in the country, Masaka is the cultural and traditional city while Mbarara, Kasese and others in the western part of the country.

Uganda is located in the eastern sub-Sahara just right in the heart of Africa, despite it being a landlocked country; it is also one of Africa’s best bio-diverse countries.
The country inhabits a lot of natural gifts ranging from flora, fauna, relief, water bodies, cultures, and other iconic features. With all the natural gifts that Uganda has, it rises up to be one the best safari destinations that will give no regret to visitors at any moment.

Uganda offers various kinds of safaris like wildlife safaris in all 10 national parks and 11 game reserves within the boundaries of the country, the sought-after gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park, and Mgahinga National Park in the southwest of the country, culture safaris in over 50 cultural communities all with unique cultural attributes, hiking in the mountains such as mountain Rwenzori, mountain Elgon, and others.

Lake Victoria.

Lake Victoria was first called Lake Nalubale which is the largest water body in Africa and also the home to the world’s longest river, River Nile where it starts its maiden journey to the Mediterranean Sea in North Africa. The lake is shared by mainly Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania with an area of about 26,828 sq. miles.
It has an irregular shape hence protruding many potential shores for beach tourism to take place along the banks of the lake. The lake is one of Uganda’s cheapest destinations that a traveler can enjoy while experiencing activities like beach soccer, swimming, fishing, photography, and music concerts, among others.

Ssese Islands.

These islands are one of the treasures hidden within Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in Africa. These islands are always a surprise to visitors since they don’t realize they as a great experience similar to Zanzibar but in a freshwater body.

Source of River Nile.

River Nile is the longest river in the world with its source from Uganda right in Lake Victoria flowing northwards to South Sudan, Sudan, and Egypt, and pours into the Mediterranean Sea. The source of the Nile is one of the world’s most vocal points that every being will wish to visit and it’s among the cheapest destinations that a visitor can grab on any safari in Ugnanda.

The Source of River Nile offers amazing tourist activities with unique adventurous activities for adventure seekers, like boat rides to the source of the Nile, white water rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, river surfing, sport fishing, jet boating, sunrise and sunset cruise, among others. Sipi falls.

Sipi Falls located in the eastern part of Uganda is about 277 km from Kampala, located in Kapchorwa district. The falls are situated on the foothills of the mountain Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border with Uganda.
Sipi Falls is composed of 3 waterfalls flowing in different heights but all have beautiful scenery. This is the point where most hikes to mountain Elgon normally begin but hiking to the top of the falls gives a beautiful scenery of Lake Kyoga, Karamoja lowlands, and the coffee plantations of the surrounding area.
These falls offer the experience of being in a free area out of congestion, for chilling, refreshing, and getting away. The most vital element is the hospitable communities around this area which makes the destination an unforgettable place for community/village encounters.

Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Sanctuary.

Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary is located in Nakasongola district, about 176 km from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. This is home to one of the most endangered mammals in the world, the rhino. This sanctuary was established to re-introduce the rhinos back into Uganda which were almost getting extinct from the wild. Ziwa Sanctuary is the only place where visitors can be able to do rhino tracking in Uganda. Currently, the sanctuary is home to over 20 rhinos and it is becoming famous for travelers looking for Rhino trekking experience as well as canoe rides, birding, night walks, and relaxation.

Lake Nabugabo.

This lake is situated next to Lake Victoria and is well known for its beaches, coastlines, and rare bird species. It is one of the lakes in Uganda where swimming is recommended.
This area is one of the Ramsar sites because of its vital purpose for the local community and different animal species.


This lake is unique for its biodiversity which includes over 250 plant species that have been recorded and the home for two plants not found elsewhere in Uganda as well as the dominant carnivorous plants and members of the Xyriadacea family.
Many species of Indigenous fish like Cichlidaehave been recorded here and some three fish species were introduced into Lake Nabugabo in the 1950s, i.e. Oreochromis niloticus, Oreochromis, and Tilapia.
The fauna ecosystem consists of a wide variety of animal communities, including hippopotamus and Sitatunga.
While birds like kingfishers, crested cranes, and other important resident birds can be sighted, Nabugabo is a vital stopover destination for migratory birds as well.
During some seasons of the year, the site holds more than 15% of the world’s population of the Blue Swallow and supports five globally threatened and nearly threatened birds. This is one of the cheapest travel destinations in Uganda.

Uganda Wildlife Education Center.

This destination was established in 1952 and is located along the shorelines of Lake Victoria on 72 acres of land in Entebbe town. This is a conservation area with over 400 Indigenous wild animals, 500 plant species, and 250 bird species in a setting that portrays the vegetation of Uganda i.e. wetland, Savannah, and the rain forest.
Most of these animals have been rescued from smugglers, poachers, and bad communities. Later when rehabilitated, they are released back into the wild and others are given new homes at the site for educational purposes.
This is one of the cheapest destinations for leisure, educational, and research purposes that one will never regret after visiting it.
